What it is about

Lusaga is a workshop format for groups that work on a question together and use artificial intelligence without handing their thinking over to it. The workshop runs in rounds.

  1. Alone first

Each person thinks quietly with their own AI and writes up their position. The AI helps with thinking; it does not think in the person's place.

  2. Then together

The summaries are brought together. A separate report AI shows where the contributions agree, where they contradict each other and what remains open.

  3. Moving on together

The group checks the report, listens to one another and decides what the next round looks like.

Method and format

The Augmented Deliberation Cycle (ADC) is the method: a procedure in rounds that sets out what has to happen. Lusaga is a concrete workshop format that puts the ADC into practice, with roles, timings and text modules. Other implementations of the same method are possible and welcome.

About the name

“Lusaga” is a proper name with a Sumerian ring to it. The syllable “lu” recalls the Sumerian word lú, “person” or “human being”. The derivation was not checked by linguists. The name is therefore not a translation with a documented meaning. The header image on this page is AI-generated.
